Welcome to Emmanuel Cappuccia’s personal site, dedicated to the issue of the general public’s education about the respect of water.

Is it still useful to underscore the economical, political, strategic, and human prevalence of the water stake at the beginning of the 21^st century ? Water access, water-conflicts, water price, economical choices… so many questions that make us realize the real brittleness and the wealth of a resource the protection of which has become a case of emergency.

Here, a really well-thought-out and well adapted education can play a major part : to teach the modern human being that he’s part and parcel of the ecosystem, to teach him the notions of systemic, interdependence, autonomy, and responsibility.

But who should be educated ? Children, adults, politicians, the general public ? And how should they be educated ? Here the question becomes more concrete.

I wished to create this site in order to promote a professional project and to broadcast research work accomplished during my postgraduate studies. The outcome of nine-month investigation will thus be reported, which permitted to summarize the different approaches, tools, and pedagogical techniques which are actually used (or are usable) by Environmental Education and Education to Environmental Citizenship both applied to the issue of water.

Above all, this investigation has focused on the technical aspect of things, the concrete question "How to do it ?". This indeed means theory, but also practice and experience !

Nine-month nearly journalistic investigation, which, across the Web as well as through new contacts, and interviews, led me to picturesque destinations such as My French native Provence, My Beloved Montreal, and the Japanese Osaka Island !
